Nirvana Life Plans aim to ensure the funeral planning process be as hassle-free as possible by combining our best services and products in five easy-to-choose pre-arranged plans. How It Works
With Nirvana Life Plan, we ensure every need is covered in four simple steps so you and your family can focus on grieving and saying goodbye.
Step 1 : Planning
Choose from our various Nirvana Life Plan. We will assist with every need and enquiry.
Step 2 : Transportation
We will assist in securing and transportation of the deceased for preparation before the wake and funeral.
Step 3 : Documentation
For you and your loved ones’ ease of mind, we will assist in handling the necessary documentations and paperwork.
Step 4 : Funeral Organisation
We will arrange the funeral in accordance to the selected Nirvana Life Plan and other agreed requests with minimal involvement from the bereft.

Eternal Blessing Lights 光明灯
The traditional Buddhist practice of offering lamps symbolises dispelling the darkness of ignorance and attainment of enlightenment by the Buddha. It also carries the aspiration to attain liberation from suffering and the cultivation of merit through good deeds.
Because of its association with good fortune, this meritorious practice is encouraged and translated through Nirvana’s Eternal Blessing Lights. The traditional oil lamps are updated to exquisite crystal lamps in the form of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and artificial candles emitting soft light for dedication to enlightened beings. The gift of light and prayers whether during difficult times or as a meritorious practice, help bring greater happiness in times of illness and loss while at the same improving family dynamics, career, health and overall fortunes.
Why make offerings of light?
In its most basic context, the act of making an offering in Buddhist tradition enables one to practice generosity in giving, to express gratitude and respect, and to contemplate on the life sustaining law of interdependence. In Buddhist teachings, all of suffering is a result not knowing and not seeing. The offering of light dispels darkness, which is the perfect allegory for the illumination of wisdom extinguishing the darkness of ignorance.
By offering light to the Buddha, it not only pays homage to his achievement of enlightenment, but it also serves as a reminder for oneself to strive for the same through the Dharma. Therefore, if one wishes to develop Dharma wisdom, he or she should offer light. The act of offering of light to the Buddha is also considered meritorious and is said to create the karma for great wealth and blessings for many hundreds or thousands of lifetimes.
Although butter lamps are the traditional form when it comes to making offerings of light, Buddhist masters will be quick to dismiss the misconception that offering traditional butter lamps is the only acceptable way. Candles, lanterns and even battery or electric-powered lamps can also be used for this purpose. In fact, Buddhist teachers advocate that whatever light is clearer and dispels darkness then it is suitable to be offered. The most important thing is having the right motivation in making the offering.

- Offerings to the Three Saints
- The Three Saints refer to the three enlightened beings of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss: the Buddha Amitabha, and the Bodhisattvas Avalokitestvara and Mahasthamaprapta. The first step of the process is to worship the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the Temple of the Three Saints to protect the family’s safety and well-being.
- Da Bo Gong Incense Offering
- Every memorial park enshrines “Fu De Zheng Shen”or “Da Bo Gong” who is the patron deity of the land. Incense and prayers will be offered for success and peace.
- Da Bo Gong Paper Ingots Offering
- The ceremony to worship Da Bo Gong will be completed by expressing intent on that auspicious day to worship the ancestors. Paper ingots will be burnt at the incense burner and prayers will be offered for the blessings of the gods.
- Tomb Altar Cleaning
- The ceremonial staff will formally pay their respects when presenting themselves by bowing before the tomb and stating their purpose for coming. They will then begin to clean the tomb altar.
- Earth Deity Incense Offering
- The Earth Deity is the guardian deity of the memorial park. Before worshipping the ancestors, homage will be paid to the Earth Deity.
- Presenting Offerings
- The offerings of flowers, fruits, vegetarian food, pastries and others ordered by the customer are presented on the altar carefully.
- Offering Incense
- Bowing and salutations are performed in front of the tomb with offering of fresh incense. The ancestors are informed of the intent of worship as entrusted by the customer and prayers for their success are offered.
- Dedication Message from Family
- Messages from the family are dedicated to the ancestors to let them know of the family’s thoughts and care.
- Burning of Joss Paper
- The worship ceremony is completed with the burning of joss items such as paper ingots at the incense burner and prayers of wealth and prosperity for the family are offered.
- Ceremony Completion
- Upon completion of the worship service, the ceremonial staff will bow and offer their farewells before the tomb.

- Cleaning the tombstone
- In order to show respect for departed Christians, the ceremonial staff will carefully clean the tombstone to ensure it is clean and tidy
- Presenting flowers
- Ceremonial staff will present a bouquet of flowers to the memory of the deceased on behalf of the family
- Message dedication
- The message as entrusted by the family will be dedicated to the departed

- Cleaning the altar
- The ceremonial will come and bow before the tomb and state their purpose for coming. They will then begin to clean the altar carefully after doing so
- Presenting the offerings
- Offerings, fruits, cakes and other items as ordered by the customer will be presented carefully on the altar

- The family’s message will be dedicated to the deceased to show their love and care
- Ceremony completion
- The service will be completed by presenting incense and other worshipping rites and the ceremonial staff will bow and say goodbye at the tomb.
